BAC Steering Committee Meetings
BAC Steering Committee Meetings
The Lorain County BAC Steering Committee brings together business, education, economic development, workforce, industry-sector, foundation, and community partners to identify workforce priorities, use student aptitude, interest, and workforce data to guide decisions, and develop career-connected experiences that better align students with local education, training, and employment opportunities.
The Steering Committee informs and helps guide the priorities, strategies, and work of the broader Lorain County Business Advisory Council.
Through this work, we seek to strengthen employer pipelines, retain local talent, and improve alignment between students’ natural abilities and Lorain County workforce needs.
BAC Meetings - Our BAC meetings take place at a minimum of four times per year. These meetings are intended to inform all of our members of the direction and status of our initiatives. Meeting invites are sent to all members from K12, business, industry, non profits, higher education, and sector partners.

Task Force Meetings - Our task force meetings include those representatives who are the point of contacts who will carry out much of the work inside our annual BAC plan.

Special Ops Task Forces - Our special Ops Task Forces are smaller sub committees tasked with carrying out specific new initiatives each year. Members volunteer to be a part of these specific initiatives.
